Everything is bigger in Texas, especially firearms and NFA ownership. Today, Silencer Shop is celebrating Texas Independence Day by highlighting the fact that the citizens of Texas own about 1/5th of all the silencers registered in the entire United States. Starting as a dealer and evolving into the nation’s largest national distributor, Silencer Shop has streamlined the NFA application process for over ten years, simplifying the purchasing, transfer and ownership process.
The official numbers reported in the 2020 annual Firearms Commerce In The United States ATF publication list nearly 402,000 suppressors that call Texas home. To mark the occasion, Silencer Shop is highlighting the state’s top sellers, Dead Air, and NFA dealers that have made these numbers possible.
Since we are still in the first quarter of 2021, my suggestion is for the rest of Texas gun owners to kick it up a notch. If you purchase a suppressor today, there’s a good chance you’ll have it mounted and ready for the field or the range by the fall. Remember my motto for silencer purchases: Don’t Wait; Buy Today.
Happy Independence Day, Texas!

BIG NFA: Silencer Shop Celebrates Texas Independence Day
A handwritten document proclaiming Texas was freeing itself from rule by Mexico is 185 years old Tuesday. It was March 2, 1836, Texas Independence Day, when historians believe the original and five copies of the declaration were made and signed by 59 men at Washington-on-the-Brazos. With the creation of the revolutionary document, settlers broke away from Mexico to create the Republic of Texas. The new republic was led by interim-President David G. Burnet until the election of President Sam Houston later that year. NBCDFW.com
