Lone Wolf Unveils the Grey Man Gun
Lone Wolf has come a long way. What started as an aftermarket parts company has developed into a custom powerhouse. They’ve gotten to the point where they’ve gone past modifying Glock into making them. From frames to barrels and slides they do a little bit of everything for the Glock platform. They’ve just announced the premiere of the new Grey Man Glock. Lone Wolf partnered with USCCA’s Concealed Carry magazine editor Kevin Michalowski to design the Grey man.
The Grey is a Glock 19 sized gun with a Glock OEM frame. The frame is filled with the Lone Wolf Gen 3 frame kit. It features an enhanced duty grade trigger as well as a trigger housing with an overtravel adjustment screw. The gun has Lonewolf oversized magazine catch and slide lock lever. The upper is a custom AlphWolf stainless steel slide with a custom Grey Man configuration. The slide comes in a PVD FDE coating or a bead blasted silver. The barrel is a Lone Wolf barrel with custom cut barrel crown. The sights are by Ameriglo and are night sights which are a nice touch.
The Grey Man name fits well with the design. The idea behind the grey man is someone who slips under the radar and blends into their environment. The world of custom Glocks is full of extraordinary guns that look amazing, and they certainly stand out. Guns from companies like ZEV and Agency Arms are outstanding firearms, but they do stand out. The Grey Man stands out a bit compared to a stock Glock but its nothing close to other Glock pistols.
It’s a good looking gun and it does come chock full of features you won’t find on a standard Glock. Lonewolf has proven themselves over and over to be an excellent company in all their endeavors. I run a lot of their springs in my 10mms and never had an issue. What can make or break a gun like this is the MSRP, and custom Glock are rarely cheap guns.
However, the Grey Man breaks the mold and has an MSRP of $549. That’s stock Glock price, but the gun is full of features you won’t find on a stock Glock. This price point is honestly brilliant, and because of it, I think it will appeal to a lot of people. Additionally, at this price point, you don’t need to feel shy about actually carrying the gun concealed day in and day out.
Everything on the Grey Man seems to serve a practical purpose, and the gun is priced to move. I think Lone Wolf has a winner on their hands with the Grey Man. The full list of features on the Grey Man is as follows.
- AlphaWolf stainless steel slide, custom “Grey Man” configured
