Timber Edge, the subscription box for hunters (VIDEO)
Holiday shopping is in full swing. If you’d rather not brave the rabid shopping crowds to find the perfect gift for the hunter in your life, consider a monthly subscription package.
Timber Edge, a small family-owned company out of Rifle, Colorado, flies under the radar, but offers the unique monthly service supplying outdoor and hunting gear.
For the $35 monthly fee, the company sends out packages that arrive on the 15th of the month. Package deals range from children to youth to adult and they’re tailored based on the needs and wants of the customer.
In my first Timber Edge package, which arrived in November, I received items dubbed the “Rifle Hunting Box” that included:
Champion Score Keeper 50-Yard Smallbore rifle targets. Pack of twelve paper targets. MSRP $2.95
Cabelas-brand caliber-specific Competition Series Cleaning Kit for the .30 Caliber. Hard-sided kit with a regular store price of $9.99. This is a nice, packable kit for either the range or a hunt, and fits neatly into a backpack.
Hunter’s Blend Coffee. 12-ounce bag. Sourced directly from the farmer and roasted in Ohio. Retail $13.50. Coffee is a staple of 10/10 hunting camps, and it’s nice to learn of a new company providing “coffee by hunters for hunters.”
2Toms Sport Shield anti-chafing protection. For those mobile, backcountry hunters who put on the miles. This is a product most hunters—myself included– might never think of, but I’m glad to have it, as it could easily protect from blisters and more, saving a hunt. MSRP $13.00 for the roll-on provided.
HME Trail Marking Tacks. This pack of 50 reflective trail markers has become a staple in my tree-stand arsenal. MSRP $2.99
Total retail value of the items in the box equal $42.43. Though that’s not a stellar budget-buy, we did feel like we introduced to some neat new companies and products that we otherwise might not have known about. The smalls were cheap, but useable. All in all, Timber Edge is a neat box and I’d be happy to see what comes each month.
