Maxim Defense PDX Dominates Close Quarter Encounters
Clearing a house can be difficult and dangerous. However, having a firearm designed for close quarters helps; one that is light, compact and powerful. The Maxim Defense PDX checks off these boxes.
The Maxim Defense PDX came out of the SOCOM PDW solicitation. As such, its designed to handle the needs of Tier 1 operators in close quarter encounters. This means that it can absolutely handle anything that civilians want to put this firearm through.
The heart of the PDX comes from the Maxim SCW stock system. This patent-pending system cuts down the length of the stock to a mere 4 inches from the standard AR-15/M4 that only collapses down to 7 inches. This gives the PDX an overall length of just under 19 inches. It also only weighs 5 pounds, 11 ounces, unloaded. Additionally, it features an integrated BCG with interchangeable buffer weights to maximize performance and versatility without sacrificing functionality.
Maxim also equipped the PDX with a newly invented Maxim HATEBRAKE Muzzle Booster. This patent-pending device reduces recoil, decreases flash signature, and pushes gasses and concussion waves downrange away from shooters. This improves the overall experience with short-barrel pistols and rifles. Available in both 7.62 and 5.56, the PDX is the ultimate choice for when concealment and personal defense is non-negotiable.
Maxim will showcase the PDX at the 2019 SHOT Show, and will be accepting pre-orders for this subcompact platform starting Jan. 21. The guns will begin shipping in April. The only question is whether this is a rifle, a pistol or both.
